Due to the hosted apps shutdown by sourceforge, our phpBB forum is gone. We have a backup of the contents, but I enabled "Discussion" tool for this project which we might want to use as a replacement. If anyone knows how to import the old discussions into this tool, it would be helpful, otherwise I am afraid that they are lost (as long as noone volunteers to setup a phpBB forum again)

My humble suggestion is to get a forum in a more public place such as the FreeGameDev forums. I am an admin there so would be happy to set that up. Whilst I am listed as an admin on the ETR project here, it was merely an intervention in order to get the project in the right hands at the time (so don't view me in that context).
In what little discussion there has been, nobody has been against the freegamedev.net idea.
Etr is such a small project, that shared forum is enough, and not having the maintenance burden on ourselves is a plus.

Unfortunately there’s no public web archive of the previous forum, as there is for the older forum. At least there’s a back-up!
I think moving to freegamedev.net is a very good idea: ETR would join a larger community it seems it could belong to. I see Super Tux and Super Tux Kart there, so the neighbourhood seems nice!
Staying on this SF discussion board could be okay too, but I think SF is getting old and maybe we should move away at one point (I’m opening a new topic about this soon).
Anyway, I don’t think we need to set up back a whole new phpBB forum just for the project. If the project regains enough popularity, maybe a small Vanilla/Discourse/NoNonsense/… forum could be opened one day, but for now it is not needed.

I dont think that we can import phpBB posts into that "Discussion" tool :-/

Benefits: first post moderation = no spam, ever. More public, so more visible, more feedback / more eyes on the project. Little-to-no administration.
Cons: lack of control e.g. can't theme it, must make requests for changes to structure etc.
