When an episode is created, the color scheme that is selected for that episode is then set as the default color scheme for children of that episode. However, if the color scheme of the parent episode is later changed, the default color scheme of child episodes is not changed.

This is particularly a problem for child episodes that are not created yet, as the author of the child episode will ignore the scheme selection if they wish to keep the scheme of the parent episode. In the above scenario, the incorrect scheme will be used.

What should happen is that when the color scheme of an episode is altered after it has been created, the default color scheme for all children of that episode that haven't been created yet should also be changed.
