[ext2resize] Future of ext2/3 online resize

Hi Andreas,

maybe I'm the last user of ext2/3 online resize stuff out there.
But I depend on that functionality (root-fs on LVM) and wonder what
the planes for the future are.
There was an announcement that ext2/3 online resize will be in 2.6.x,
but was later dropped. And the patches at sf.net are quite old. The
ext3-patch for 2.5.44 does not apply halfway clean to 2.6.0. And the
ext2-patch is never updated to 2.5.x.
Because of my very litte knowledge in 2.5.x fs stuff, I have not tried
to port the resize code myself.

My understanding is that the ext3 online resize code is now in the RH 2.6
kernel.  Arjan updated the patch for 2.6.0 and posted it to ext3-users or
ext2-devel a month or two ago.
