I installed ext2 on my Mac OS X 10.8 system, then erased my usb
drive and reformatted using ext2. When I attempted to use the drive
the kernel went into panic.
After I used fsck_ext2 I was able to remount but when I tried to use
the usb drive the kernel went into another panic.

System Version: Mac OS X 10.3.8 (7U16)
Kernel Version: Darwin 7.8.0
