I'm Jose M. Buenaposada and I'm doing research on Computer Vision. My main topic is facial analysis
without markers (face tracking and facial expression coding) and the application of my PhD thesis
is performance driven animation (to copy the facial expressions of a real person into a 3D model).
By now we took the code of Waters and reworked it in order to fit our needs (take a look to the
videos in http://platon.escet.urjc.es/~jmbuena/research.html
and http://www.dia.fi.upm.es/%7Elbaumela/FaceExpressionRecognition/research.html\).
I found expression sometime ago and I'd like to work with it in a near future. I have some questions
- Are the animation parameters for muscles the same of the original Waters code?
I mean there are 18 linear muscles in the original code has you modified it in someway?
(I know you have introduced sphinters for the eyebrows and the mouth - as we did in our demostration code -).
- How is the port to linux going? Is it in good shape?
- Are the plugins for 3DS working? Will be easy to add something similar to Blender
- that is free software -?
- And what about the TTS in GNU/Linux?Will it be difficult to port having a voice synthetiser
software? How is it implemented in Windows?
Many thanks in advance.
