QPL is the same as GPL. You still must give sources even if you simply link to this code. If it had a less viral license, LGPL perhaps, people may think about using it. Also, where are the sources for windows?
This would be great combined with the cal3D project, you should think about using that instead of DejaView.

let me explain.
QPL/GPL is best for gui projects like Qt, databases like MySQL, or an OS like linux, but no good for graphics or game development libs. It's painfully obvious by the lack of contributions or use of GPL libraries, aside from ID's game engines. Because those developing the type of software this can be used in are usually doing it commercially, and they need security to help prevent theft as competitors can benefit much from copying their work, so closed source is a must. Honestly if you want this project to be contributed to, the LGPL or even zlib license will gain it more interest.

If you actually read the QPL that's part of the project it's not remotely viral. It requires that modification to the library are released, and it gives me as the owner of the project the right to those modifications if I wanted to do a close source version.
Daja View doesn't really exist anymore, I've got most of the functionality of cal 3d already, except with much less polished export process.

Ah ok, I was reading the Qt license and I'm a little slow anyways.
Awesome! I'd love to see talking cal3d models ; )
