Thanks for your help, I can now get this:

on the serial port. I guess this is from the kernel...

Is there any way to get more, and, why not, to get init running?
(does the kernel support network, nfsroot? Is there some way to pass
parameters to the kernel ?)

Last request: is there a kernel patch available against 2.4 tree ?
