Packaging EC for Debian would be nice :D

Mario Carri=F3n has already set the autotools infrastructure for EC,
maybe that was a required step towards packaging are now we're closer.

However, there's an issue with API stability. I think the API is
currently very unstable, that's why I recommend to deploy the EC
libraries with the host application.

Given your experience as a packager, what would you recommend to do?
