It took me a long time, but I came to the same conclusion a couple years = ago. If your installation permits, you can use -o 'StrictHostKeyChecking no' = on the ssh command line and you won't have to worry about keys at all. = They will be automatically set up for you. % ssh -o 'StrictHostKeyChecking no' <yourhost> Note the ticks on the option.
