[Expectperl-discuss] Visible passwords

I'm using Expect to start a telnet session from a linux box to a sun workstation and afterwards open a telnet to a cisco router. Expect enters interactive mode when the login prompt is displayed, works fine. When I'm going to enter my user and pass, the password is visible (normally hidden) - how can I change this behavior?
