To those who have responded -- thanks. I had tried a chmod -R to change the mod on all the library files. It didn't work -- but then, that was early in the morning, after 4 hours of sleep. I tried it again after someone else suggested it. It worked. Maybe I just wasn't awake enough to pay attention when I did it at first. Thanks!
