Sorry if I stepped on your toes.  I concurr that competent programmers 
should decide for themselves how they solve their problems, but given 
the kind of requests that I increasingly keep getting, that species is 
getting severely pushed back... :-)

I again appologize, this wasn't directed at you but at the hordes of 
newbies that have no programming experience, don't know perl and want 
to use Expect to automate ftp.  Moreover, they want somebody else to 
solve their problems for them.  The Mircosoft Generation...
