Thanks a lot, the patch seems to blend in quite well with the rest of 
the crummy code... :-)

I'll put it in with the next release, but that can take a while as 
there are still unresolved issues with the new IO-Tty version I'm 
working on.  It's not easy to be portable across a dozen systems...
