[Exist-open] New installation on Windows 11

Hello list,
I am trying to install exist 6.0.1 on a new computer running windows 11. I
can successfully run exist-installer-6.0.1.jar, and can start up from the
windows icon, but I only get as far as the first-use screen. After that,
nothing; exist does not start.
Any suggestions about how to troubleshoot this?
