Hi Roy,

Several issues, including your #2, were fixed in the just-released eXide
3.1.1 (available via Dashboard > Package Manager). See the release notes
here:

  https://github.com/eXist-db/eXide/releases

For the other problems you mentioned, I'd encourage you to file issues in
the eXide repository.
