[Exist-open] installation stops at step 8 - windows

Hi all, 

please excuse, if this is a noob-question: I am trying to help a colleague to install existdb on her Windows10-machine (via video, which makes it a bit complicated). We are using the jar-file, the installation process starts normally, but gets stuck at step 8 of 9 (without any visual error-message). Any ideas, what could be the problem?
