this is so embarrassing - I was sooo determined to give you prompt 
feedback this time and yet I allowed this to be drowned in so much other 
stuff. I am truly sorry for being what we call "stoffelig" in German.

I just wanted to say that, yes, range:match is working perfectly in our 
case. It seems we don't fall into the unsupported features category 
after all. Thank you a lot for your suggestion, Wolfgang and Alasdair!
