There has always been a plan to modularise eXist further and to create
a set of Maven Modules, this is a good first step, I have personally
ignored the work so far in the "mvn-repo" repo as it took its own
approach and diverged from what the core team agreed in Prague, I
guess we will remove it soon. These things will have to be reconciled
at some point...
