This is strange because this is the system Dannes and I have used for building. I have Mac OS X 10.8.2 with Java 1.7.0_09. To be sure, I just downloaded the installer from Sourceforge instead of using my local one: it works as expected. Did you maybe install over an existing version in the same target directory?
