[eXist-TEIXML] (no subject)

Hello to all,

 I am an Italian student in 'Humanities Computing' at the University of
Pisa.
I am preparing my thesis and I would like to create a project with the
support of eXist, but I've never used similar programs and I am having some
difficulties:
I created a new directory in which I've uploaded my xml files and their
dtd. The files are displayed correctly, but when I apply some simple
functions in the Query Dialog window, the system never returns any results.
Can you help? What am I doing wrong?
