Yesterday I posted a release candidate of eXist-db 1.4.2 on sourceforge (
http://sourceforge.net/projects/exist/files/Stable/1.4.2/ ); this version
will be the last of the 1.4.x series.

If you think some patches are missing or some other functionality, please
contact me. I plan to release the final version somewhere next week.
