Trunk is much better in terms of performance and tooling and has proven to be pretty stable. We should encourage people to give it a try. But this is only possible if we don't break backwards compatibility without making it public and providing alternatives. The major new features in trunk - redesigned structural index, better query optimizations, package repository - have been running stable for months now. So if it doesn't cost you more than an hour to temporarily enable a simple solution for default permissions, I would beg you to do so. It would really save me a lot of time because I have to work around those inconsistencies in the security framework as well. Wolfgang |
