Hi, I'm using the util:eval() function extensively. In some cases, the parameter that I pass to this function will evaluate to an empty string. In such cases, eXist throws an exception as follows. XMLDBException occurred: error found while executing expression: <AST>:1:1: unexpected AST node: null [at line 181, column 18] The simplest test case is to try executing util:eval("") from the Basic XQuery Interface web interface provided in eXist. The above error comes up. Is this expected behavior? Should it not return an empty string as the evaluation of an empty string as parameter? I think this problem can be fixed by a minor change in file org.exist.xquery.functions.util.EvalFunction.java in the eval() method. Any pointers?
