I have uploaded the xml document of around 500 pages with many special
characters like δ, , etc.
While passing the xquery and getting the output and I am getting the output
with junk characters.
I would like to get output with the same html entities or character entities
as source uploaded.
Pls award me with solution.

This is not an eXist problem. You need to do some research into the general
issue of character encodings in XML and HTML, as well as on the way XML
processors handle character entity references like δ and numeric
character references (a completely different kind of thing) such as
The most likely thing is that you aren't "getting the output with junk
characters" at all, but are trying to render the output using the wrong
encoding. A bit of Googling (or a visit to Wikipedia) will tell you what
you need to know and do.
