XML-RPC is still available, but it runs as a servlet at
http://localhost:8080/exist/xmlrpc. Code using the XML-RPC interface should
work with this address. Please note that the database root-collection has
been renamed from a single slash / to /db. This makes it easier for the
XML:DB driver to distinguish between the server address and the collection
selected. It is also needed for compatibility with Xindice. For example, to
access the root collection use the XML:DB URI
The HTTP listener on 8088 is not available if eXist runs in a
servlet-context. You can use Cocoon's xmldb pseudo-protocol and the sitemap
to get the same functionality.
