I don't think so, for the switch I must be able to: 1) search a normalized index with a normalized search term 2) search a raw index with a raw search term Using index fields (see joe's answer) and normalize may work. Hello, When we introduced indexes in eXist some... 13 years ago , I planned a multi-indexing fixture, i.e. every text content would be indexed into several indexes. Unfortunately, this hasn't been developed yet, but I think it could be a very interesting feature to implement. It goes much further than "simply" treating diacritics IMHO. I've made such an approach with my arabic analyzer http://www.nongnu.org/aramorph/english/lucene.html. You can query an arabic text in arabic or in english and get a result, sometimes totally inaccurate I must admit :-) Cheers, p.b. ________________________________________ De : Duncan Paterson <du...@ex...> Envoyé : mardi 12 janvier 2021 14:52 À : exist-open Objet : Re: [Exist-open] diacritic switch (Eduard Drenth) Dear Eduard, wouldn’t unicode decomposition via http://www.xqueryfunctions.com/xq/fn_normalize-unicode.html be the easier option here? Hi Eduard, eXist 5's fields feature makes it possible to create different indexes on the same content and query a specific one. See the documentation: https://exist-db.org/exist/apps/doc/lucene#facets-and-fields See especially the section, "Conditions." Building on this, you'll just need to find analyzers or expressions that are case and diacritics (in-)sensitive and hook these into your field definition. Loren, I may have some experience that might help you authenticate. We have code that connects to Azure Cloud Storage through their REST API. We struggled to get it working because the Expath Crypto module did not support the output required to calculate the digital signatures. With the help of Claudius and Adam, the Expath DataTypes and Expath Bin modules were created which in conjunction with the Expath Crypto module, could provide the outputs needed for us to interface with the Azure Cloud Storage REST API. I am not sure if the Azure Active Directory works the same way, but if so, I would be happy to share any code we have to help you. Hi Eduard, The eXist-specific JSON serialization you're seeing is described here: https://exist-db.org/exist/apps/wiki/blogs/eXist/JSONSerializer There's no mechanism for customizing this serialization, so your options are (a) use a badgerfish stylesheet, (b) transform your nodes into the intermediary format expected by the fn:xml-to-json() function, i.e., https://www.w3.org/TR/xpath-functions-31/#schema-for-json, or (c) transform your nodes into XDM maps/arrays and use the fn:serialize() function with the $options map { "method": "json" }. Eduard, I posted a similar question about the ordering of JSON after being converted from XML a while ago. The answer I received was that the JSON spec does not dictate that order of the data must be maintained. Perhaps there could be nested structure you could create to maintain the association of data elements? The results panel in eXide has stopped working for every output option except Direct Output. That one shows my query results fine. Every other options gives me an err:FOER0000. This has not impacted eXide's ability to process queries. The Run option and Direct Output function perfectly. But I would like to get back the other display options for results, like Adaptive Output. I have uninstalled and reinstalled eXist 5.2.0 and jdk-15.0.1. Nothing makes any difference. I'm using a Win10-x64 system. Any ideas on what I should try next? I should mention that I am new to eXist and to databases generally. Thanks in advance for any help you can give me. -Peter |
