You need to install IzPack on your system.  On my Mac, it is installed in /Applications/IzPack
You then edit build.properties and change

izpack.dir = /home/ljo/bin/izpack-4.3.1

to the directory you have IzPack installed in.  On my computer, it is:

izpack.dir = /Applications/IzPack

Building eXist from SVN is pretty easy, so we don't need a snapshot. Check
