I'm trying to expand an existing 4-disk RAID5 array
created as a compatibility volume out of 4 200GB
WD2000JD SATA drives on a Highpoint Rocket 1540 card
(HPT374 chipset, though I am using the provided
drivers).

I'm trying to add 4 WD2000JD PATA drives on a
separate expansion card (drives all work when mounted
individually)

I hit Expand through the context menu in the GUI,
select expand, select the mount point md/md0, get a
list of the 4 available objects to be added, select
them and hit Expand then get an error box:

"Operation Results

(picture of a no entry sign)

The operation completed with an error.

Invalid argument"

I am using EVMS 2.5.4 on kernel 2.4.31.

I have also tried converting the volume as a EVMS
volume with exactly the same results.

Please run "evmsgui -d debug" and perform the steps to
expand the array again. Then post a gzipped copy of
/var/log/evms-engine.log. It should have some clues as to
    why it is failing.
