...After a long time since the last official release! There are no great new features from a user point of view, but the installation has been improved, the game is available as universal binary on OSX and there is an autopackage .package for Linux. A lot of effort has been put in the internationalization of the code and comments, most of the italian language in the sources is gone!
A few days before the release of the new version, mostly a bugfix release, but we'll introduce also the linux package and the mac universal binary support, the Eat The Whistle codebase has been migrated to SVN. Existing tags have been kept.
I've had really not a lot of time to work on this in the past months... I've brought an house, I've developed a commercial linux/mac game, I've my fulltime job and a lovely girlfriend... Now I've been able to put together the packages for a release of the game, in an "Easy to use" fashion. Each binary archive contains the FULL game distribution, you can unpack and play, hopefully without other efforts.
After a few months of silence the release 3.2 of ETW is near. A lot of bugs have been fixed and the audio has been converted in an easier to handle and more portable WAV format. The full data archive has been added to the CVS.
Thanks to Benjamin Von Mossner (benny@vonmossner.de), ETW now can be compiled (and run) also on Solaris x86, get the sources from CVS to try that!
I've just uploaded the binaries for 68k AmigaOS and PPC MorphOS, both have been linked statically with SDL.
Finally I've completed the binary packages for the various supported version of Eat The Whistle, note that this is the first PUBLIC release of the crossplatform version of this soccer game, it could have a few problems.
