After months of work on 5.1 in development mode, the Etherboot project is pleased to release 5.2 as the new production series.

Etherboot is Open Source code for creating boot ROMs for network booting x86 platforms. It is also a coordination point for information about free software related to network booting. eepro100 users should give this release a try, hopefully it deals with the issues that caused the driver to be broken after 5.0.7.
Support for NetBSD, support for booting DOS when chained via PXE, reworked timer code, new PCI IDs for another Via-Rhine NIC.
PXE and LILO images should work again.
This is a consolidation release to update various files which have fallen out of date in the previous release. It also contains support for the AMD Hammer and a new PCI ID for via-rhine.
1.4.0 is the first of the new series of mknbi. It is not suitable for Etherboot 4.x, use mknbi-1.2-12 for that.
first16 and first32rm formats are no longer supported, only first32pm and first32elf.

This release incorporates Eric Biederman's checksumming enhancement for ELF images. This will be the last of the 1.2 series. The 1.4 series will not support first16 or first32rm so save this one if you need this
support for old Etherboot ROMs.
