tcpdump and/or ethereal coupled with some detective work will likely
help.
I don't think I have a sundance card, but if you tell me where I can
get one, I could help you. If you can suggest a vendor (web/online is
fine), I'll be happy to order one.
I'd probably try to get it working in 5.0.8 before 5.1.x, just because
the code is a bit more tested, but with drivers, one bit in a bitmask
being off can significantly affect the result. I bet a few more pairs
of eyes on the code will quickly find the problem. Thanks again for you
help.
