It certainly didn't look like it would sucessfully recurse forever,
but I could have missed something.  Thinking it looked like it might
have succesfully parsed the filename, and used the approriate .o files,
but I still don't think it had the dependencies correct.

In any event the current version is quite a bit simpler, which makes
comprehension and maintenance better.  I'm just short of 200 lines,
in genrules.pl  And the Roms file is quite a bit shorter as well.
