[Etherboot-developers] sundance (D-Link DFE-550) status

I am considering buying several D-Link DFE-550 (Sundance Alta 201)
cards. Having EtherBoot support them is not the most important 
feature for the application I am intending to use them for, but
it could be handy in certain situations.

What is the current status of this chip? I found an old 
archive posting about it, but nothing else.

General (non-EB-related) opinions on these cards are also 
appreciated. These cards are the only non-Realtek cards
i can get cheap.

EtherBoot saved me hours when installing a network of old, recycled
Pentiums as X-Terms last months. I thank you very much for your
