The test I was applying was, take the previous version (5.0.5), apply
the patch and see what is present.

I guess putting the in the attic:
rm ube.c ube_start32.S uniform_boot.h
cvs remove ube.c ube_start32.S uniform_boot.h
is what I was thinking of.  

I don't exactly mind if there is another way to do the same
thing, and I simply don't know it.

As a FYI I have forwarded the annouce to the LinuxBIOS mailing list.
