(This is closely enough related it might be of interest...) I just got the following link from slashdot. It describes the LinuxBIOS project, which aims to replace the PC BIOS with a minimal configuration for booting a Linux kernel from NVRAM. It then relies on the Linux Kernel for "proper" configuration of the hardware. See: http://www.acl.lanl.gov/linuxbios/ Good Luck, Robb Main. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Tania Oka" <ta...@ce...> To: <eth...@li...> Sent: Tuesday, March 06, 2001 7:14 AM Subject: Re: [Etherboot-developers] image file format and BIOS use > Thanks very much to Ken and Markus for the replies, they were a big help. > > I have another question - what is the purpose of the option manipulation > done on nfsroot and ip options in the subst_value() code in > mknbi-1.1/first32.c? > > > > _______________________________________________ > Etherboot-developers mailing list > Eth...@li... > http://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/etherboot-developers |
