Quite a few people have been using Etherboot PnP ROMs. AFAIK any ROM plugged into a PCI NIC would have to be a PnP ROM since these ROMs don't occupy any memory area until they are enabled. I don't know what is required of motherboard ROMs. Can you get them to be more specific about what part of the PCI PnP spec the ROM does not satisfy? Phoenix co-developed the spec so they should know about this. |
