Hi guys, searching the list archive, i found a message about using etherboot to boot vxWorks. I sent an email to Ken, who suggested sending an email to the list. The email i sent him follows. What i need is a way to boot vxWorks using tftp + dhcp. I already have etherboot working for linux and dos, so the problem relies on vxWorks. I studied a bit the mknbi for dos and linux, but they seem quite different, so i don't know if it would be worthy makein an mknbi.vxworks. Anyone has suggestions/tips about that? Would it be possible to make a mknbi for vxworks? Wouldn't be an easier way of accomplishing this? thanks Rafael Hi Rafael, Sorry, I'm no longer working on the Etherboot project. The best place for you to ask is the etherboot-developers list. However if someone has made VxWorks boot using PXE, perhaps the easiest would be to use the PXE capability of Etherboot 5.4.x. Otherwise you would have to make a bootable image from first principles based on what you need to put in memory where to run VxWorks. I don't know how VxWorks wants to be started so I'm no help there. Good luck, Ken --- Rafael Vidal Aroca <raf...@uo...> wrote: > > Hi guys, > > sorry for disturbing. > > i saw a message from you on etherboot-users list about booting > vxWorks using etherboot.
