Greetings all,
Having been a member of the etherboot users community for some time now,
I've come to rely on etherboot for some of our internal systems. Recently
Intel introduced a rev of their gigabit card that is not yet supported by
etherboot. I'd like to use this card and etherboot. Taking a few stabs in
the dark, I attempted to add PCI ID's to the e1000 driver as well as work
with some code that Georg Baum graciously donated to the cause to no avail.
I rapidly realized that I was in over my head. Realizing the relative lack
of availability of the chip, is there anyone willing to work with me doing
some coding? Perhaps arranging some sort of compensation for a write-code
and send it to me to try type of scenario? I've never really proceeded down
this type of path before, and would appreciate any help/suggestions...
