Dear Open Source developer I am doing a research project on "Fun and Software Development" in which I kindly invite you to participate. You will find the online survey under http://fasd.ethz.ch/qsf/. The questionnaire consists of 53 questions and you will need about 15 minutes to complete it. With the FASD project (Fun and Software Development) we want to define the motivational significance of fun when software developers decide to engage in Open Source projects. What is special about our research project is that a similar survey is planned with software developers in commercial firms. This procedure allows the immediate comparison between the involved individuals and the conditions of production of these two development models. Thus we hope to obtain substantial new insights to the phenomenon of Open Source Development. Dear all, I have Eclipse 2.1.0 and installed the esstp plugin 1.0.0. I tried to use a repository of SF 6.0 from my Eclipse and even when I can see the .ini file of sourcesafe when I enter a valid user and password it doesnt work. But If I install The Visual SourceSafe program on my PC, then It works... I presume there are dll or libraries or something that are missing or to have installed SF on my PC is a requirement to use a remote repository of SF? Apart of that, I would like to know if there is any documentation of how to use esstp and SF repositories on Eclipse. For instance: the files of the repository are downloaded locally and then updated when finished? how can we download a file from the repository? Many thanks in advance Miguel |
