Emacspeak Festival speech server / News: Recent posts

After some consideration, we have decided to cease support for espeakf.

We have made this decision for the following reasons:

1. Emacspeak has evolved so that parsing speech servers are now sent generic voice modulation commands. Parsing DTK commands, as espeakf does, no longer works, and adapting espeakf to the new scheme would take a considerable effort.

2. The responsiveness problems various users have reported appear to be fundamental to Festival, and thus can not be resolved.... read more

First release of the speech server for Festival. Anyone with experience with SABLE or SIOD Scheme in general
probably wants to have a look at it and give some feedback on the current way of doing things.
