I successfully installed espeak-1.42.04 (installed only "hy-west") and espeakedit-1.48.03 on my Windows 7. But when I open eSpeakEdit I get the following error:

Espeakedit Error

Failed to read espeak-data/phontab,phondata,phonindex
Path = C:\Program Files (x86)\eSpeak\espeak-data

The 'eSpeak' package needs to be installed

BUT unlike this problem https://sourceforge.net/p/espeak/bugs/48/ where the eSpeak wasn't installed, in my case it is. And the neccessary files are in the right directory (pic. attached). I think the problem occurs because when espeakedit looks in the Windows Registry, at:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Speech\Voices\Tokens\

it does NOT find the eSpeak (because the installer doesn't create that directory, I have tried to uninstall and install eSpeak several times).

How can I solve this problem?

Thanks in advance.

    I don't know about Windows,
    but in Linux eSpeakEdit requires symbolic link (shortcut) from users
    home directory named "espeak-data" to "espeak-data" folder of espeak
    source files.

    For Linux, working code and guide is provided here:

    I tried to make a shortcut of administrator's home directory (which is <root>\Users\<username> in my case), rename it to "espeak-data" and move to "espeak-data" folder of espeak
    source files. Did I get it right?
    Because it didn't work.</username></root>
