Some of my esp8266 projects. Most have Iobase connection ( scada - vispro/vistwo ).

LedClock : (nodemcu) simple clock based on led stripe (WS2812B/ 60leds per meter ) see: unwx.de/blog1
Oled-Thermometer : DS18B20 temperatur sensor on SSD1306 display. Data also forwarded to Iobase.
Sonoff_Iob : Basic+POW+DUAL+OBI 1/2 with intern timeclock and Iobase connection.
Sonoff_Webradio : ... no function ... ( switch on a radio with sonoff-button )
[XSwitch] : esp8266 based board with up to 4 buttons (light switches). Connection to Iobase.
Mailflag : iob driven servo mail notifier ... 3d-model see ( https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3067957 )
[PowMeter] : measure current with ACS712-20A and send values to iob
