    SOLVED!! It has been the same login issue described in bug:

    https://sourceforge.net/p/esniper/bugs/645/

    As per holly's and "lost's" instructions, I modified line 426+ of auction.c as follows:

    OLD:

    (!strncasecmp(pp->pageName, "MyeBay", 6) ||
    !strncasecmp(pp->pageName, "My eBay", 7))

    NEW:

    (!strncasecmp(pp->pageName, "MyeBay", 6) ||
    !strncasecmp(pp->pageName, "My eBay", 7) ||
    !strncasecmp(pp->pageName, "Watch list", 10) ||
    !strncasecmp(pp->pageName, "User Agreement", 10))

    For Ubuntu 13.04 users: I had to install "curl-config" with the command:

    sudo apt-get install libcurl4-gnutls-dev

    Now all works well for me again!

    This worked for me. The solution I had to bug 645 - to change my login URL did work for a while but the problem came back, well at least the symptoms did. This code edit solution above fixes the second incarnation of the issue I had. I suspect these are two separate problems.

    This worked for me too on Ubuntu (Gnome) 13.10. Thanks for posting this.
