[Esml-app_dev] ESML: is it possible to have strings as field values?

Hello,

I am currently climbing the ESML learning curve, so bear with me ...

I need to extract strings information from an in-house format ASCII file.

Let's say my ASCII file is something like this:

3
filename1  path_to_filename1
filename2  path_to_filename2
filename3  path_to_filename3


Using ESML, is it possible to define the "filename/pathname" block as an 
array of string field values?

The Ascii plugin is not supporting CString as a valid field value. Is 
this by design?

If not, is there another way to achieve the same goal?
