Using the ESItool GUI Application

1. Launch ESItool.exe
2. The Main Window is displayed:

1. Select Tools -> Options
2. The ESItools setting dialog is displayed:

1. Enter the following:
   1. The CR Status file, including the path (as downloaded from the DIS PSG Digital Library)
   2. Template Directory - the directory containing the template files (as downloaded from the DIS PSG Digital Library)
   3. Target Directory - a directory to contain the registered version of the CR file)
   4. Temporary Directory - a directory to contain temporary files (will be empty unless there is an error whilst registering the CR file)
2. Press OK
3. Note there is a bug that means that you need to exit the program at this stage and restart it
4. Drag and drop an outlook message file from MS Outlook into the top pane of ESItool:

1. Open up the attachments
2. Right click on one of the attachments and select "Register This":

1. The attachment is registered, with progress shown in the bottom pane:

1. The newly registered and renamed CR file is in the target directory. Copy this and the registration message in a reply to the original email
