The eSearch project uses the open-source Lucene .NET search engine and the open source Avalonia UI framework. We started the project in early 2023 with a WinForms proof of concept to get the basic layout and features in place before designing and coding with Avalonia and .NET Core was started at the end of 2023.
eSearch UI is user translatable. We supply a free Language File Editor and sample language files in French and German. Many years ago we produced the French and German versions of dtSearch Desktop 6. After failed attempts at offering to make a user translatable version of the current version, we decided to start the eSearch project!
After many years at the coalface staring at a white screen, the decision was made to default the Ui to dark mode! I have myopic degeneration in one eye and now getting cataracts in the other, so please excuse the dark mode in the beta being high contrast, we will tone it down soon!
We hope you like it. We will be offering free and discounted licenses for the Pro version for beta testers and Lite version users that contribute translations or useful feedback!
