I'm using eroaster 2.0.9 on Mandrake 8.0 and I cannot copy a CD. It tells me in the message window "I cannot read source CD" or something similar, although the CD is perfectly ok. Also trying to detect the reader or the writer hangs the application.

can you try to execute "cdrecord -scanbus" and post wether it works or not ?
