We liked the name, "ernie."  I like it because of its association with Ernie Banks, the Cub.  A word play: "Ernie, DATA Banks!"  Big J, The brains behind this project, liked the name for its moderness, perhaps indicating forthrightedness, Ernie is short for Ernest.  Our goal, improve useability of baseball data, by "normalization."  That means efficient crosslinks to database wags.

So, since howethomas, owner of the dormant name has given permission,,,, I could find his email, if asked....

WHY don't we have the name change?
