  • http://groups.google.com/group/ermod-announce is a low-traffic (typically <1/month) mailing list for release announcement. Only developers can submit a message in this mailing list. All users are recommended to subscribe this ML.

  • http://groups.google.com/group/ermod-users is a mailing list for user supports. Users are encouraged to submit questions or suggestions through the ML. A message can be submitted in either English or Japanese. We cannot respond to mails with insufficient information. Specifically, we cannot respond to mails without executed commands, expected results, and actual results.

    • Read the FAQ pages first.
    • If there is a problem with compilation, the compiler name and version, BLAS / LAPACK library name, choice of FFT library, command line options to ./configure and config.log are required to narrow down the problem.
    • If there is a problem with preprocessing (gen_input / gen_structure), help us hunting bugs by attaching topology and parameter files (*.psf and *.prm for NAMD, *.top / *.itp for GROMACS, *.prmtop / *.top for AMBER). If you want to make topology / parameter files closed (e.g. you are working in a private sector), contact developers.
    • If you encounter a problem while computing results, send us parameter files to reproduce them and pointers to trajectory files. Do not send trajectory files via the mailing list!
      • Make sure you performed simulations correctly. Not a few bug reports turned out to be due to corrupted MD simulation.
  • If you are sure that the program contains the bug, you can also submit it directly with "Tickets" section of sourceforge.
