Hi , i have installed erlang on an smaller (TI OMAP35xx, Linux) embedded ARM system. Its running so far quite good. (Installation was done by file coping and setting only one environment variable). I would no also like to install Yaws on this system. Unfortunately there is no make tool on the system, so i have to copy things by hand. Any hints for such a manual installation? Are there hardware or architecture specific things that are not running on beam, but directly on the hardware by a C program or so? So is it necessary to cross-compile some parts? Any help appreciated Markus |

You'll just have to study the Makefiles. I'm not sure we want to bring cross compilation support into the yaws Makefiles for everybody though. It usually tends to be pretty ugly. /klacke |

Cmake? Is there cmake support for your arch? Hi, no i was borrowing the three binary files from: http://packages.debian.org/squeeze/yaws and gotcha it works! Astonishing fast on 600MHz ARM ! All other files are 1:1 from an x386 Suse system. Quite dirty but it works. So in a 2nd step i try to take all the erlang stuff from debian rep, but i am not sure if its the "right" ARM architecture.
